These terms govern your use of RecoverYourSite.com and the services we provide. Please read them before submitting a restore request or making a purchase. By using our service you are agreeing to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
RecoverYourSite.com is operated by Razi Haider, based in India. You can reach us at hello@recoveryoursite.com.
1. What we do
We recover archived versions of websites from the Internet Archive (Archive.org) and deliver them as downloadable ZIP files containing HTML, CSS, JavaScript and image files. The restored output is a static copy of how the website looked at the time it was archived. It is not a live website and does not include any server-side code, databases, or dynamic functionality.
Our free plan recovers up to 5 pages. Paid plans recover more pages as described on our Pricing page. If Archive.org does not have an archived copy of the website you submit, we cannot restore it and will let you know.
2. Who can use this service
You must be at least 16 years old to use RecoverYourSite.com. By submitting a restore request, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You must either own the website you are requesting to restore, or have explicit permission from the owner to recover it. We do not verify ownership at the point of submission, but we reserve the right to cancel any job and refuse service if we have reason to believe a request is not authorised by the rightful owner.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use RecoverYourSite.com only for lawful purposes. The following uses are strictly not permitted:
- Restoring a website you do not own and do not have permission to recover
- Using the service to collect or scrape competitor content for commercial use
- Restoring websites that contain or distribute illegal content
- Attempting to abuse, overload or reverse engineer our systems
- Using automated tools to submit bulk restore requests without prior agreement
- Reselling restored files without disclosing their source or misrepresenting them as original work
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any request that we believe violates these terms, without notice and without a refund.
4. The restore process
When you submit a restore request, we retrieve archived content from Archive.org using the snapshot URL you provide. The quality and completeness of the restored output depends entirely on what Archive.org captured at the time of that snapshot. We have no control over the Archive.org index and cannot guarantee that every page, image or file from the original website will be present in the archive.
Restore jobs typically complete within a few minutes to an hour depending on the size of the site. Larger sites or periods of high demand may take longer. Your download link will be sent to the email address you provided when the job is complete.
Download links on the free plan are valid for 24 hours. On paid plans they are valid for 48 hours. After that the files are deleted from our server and we are not able to retrieve them.
5. Archive.org availability
Our service depends on Archive.org being accessible. If Archive.org is unavailable or experiencing issues at the time of your request, your restore may fail or be delayed. In these cases we will attempt to complete the job manually where possible, but only if you can provide a wireframe or page structure of the original site along with the content. If we cannot complete the job due to Archive.org being unavailable and you have paid, you are entitled to a full refund. Please contact us at hello@recoveryoursite.com to request one.
6. Payments
Paid plans are available as described on our Pricing page. All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy who act as the Merchant of Record. By purchasing a plan you also agree to Lemon Squeezy’s terms of service.
Prices are shown in US dollars. Depending on your location, Lemon Squeezy may add applicable taxes at checkout.
Payments are one-time and non-recurring. We do not offer subscriptions.
7. Refunds
We offer a refund within 3 days of purchase if your restore job failed and we were unable to deliver the pages you paid for. A failed restore means we could not retrieve and package any pages from the archive, not that the output was missing a few assets or had some broken images.
Refunds are not available in the following situations:
- You were unhappy with the quality of the archived content, which is determined by Archive.org and not by us
- You changed your mind after the restore completed successfully
- The download link expired because you did not download the file within the valid period
- You submitted an incorrect Archive.org URL
- More than 3 days have passed since your purchase
To request a refund, email us at hello@recoveryoursite.com with your order details. We will review and respond within 3 business days.
8. Intellectual property
We do not claim ownership over the website content we restore for you. That content belongs to the original website owner. By using our service you confirm that you are the rightful owner of the website or have permission from the owner to recover and use the content.
Our software, plugin code, website design and all original content on RecoverYourSite.com are our intellectual property and may not be copied, reproduced or redistributed without permission.
9. Limitation of liability
We provide this service on a best-efforts basis. We cannot guarantee that every page or file from your archived website will be successfully recovered, as this depends on what was captured by Archive.org.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RecoverYourSite.com and Razi Haider will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of our service. This includes loss of business, loss of data, or damage to your reputation.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of our service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific restore job in question.
10. Privacy
How we collect and use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using RecoverYourSite.com you agree to the practices described there.
11. Changes to the service
We may update, change or discontinue any part of our service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we are not obligated to do so. If you have paid for a restore that has not yet started and we discontinue the service, you will receive a full refund.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect when they were last changed. Continuing to use the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with any changes, please stop using the service and contact us if you have an outstanding paid order.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through direct communication with us will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We always prefer to resolve issues informally first. If you have a problem with your restore or a billing issue, please reach out to us at hello@recoveryoursite.com before pursuing any formal action. Most issues can be sorted quickly.
14. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, get in touch using the details on our Contact page or email us directly at hello@recoveryoursite.com.
